Last one?

Well I just finished my last essay for this semester, actually my last essay without a bachelors!!! Victory!

The only thing I have left is that dang sewing class.. We had to weather days (snow and tornado.. man Oklahoma is crazy!) so I am far behind in construction my dress. That isn't necessarily a bad thing because the world is not ready for my sewing abilities.

they float

so i went to the arts festival saturday to watch my grandmother dance and we went to look at all the art afterwards. We walked up to one stand that had a bunch of pictures of birds and animals and stuff but one of the pictures was a fully nude lady in a pool. We looked at all the small pictures he had for sale and the were all named about breast. there was tit mouse, boob bee, red breast, and a couple others and I found the small print of the naked lady and told my boyfriend he should get it for his wall. Right after I said that the artist walked over and said thats my neighbor Helen. Then he was like well first I should tell you what I do, these pictures are boobie rubbings. and just started talking about how the pictures start off as nipple imprints and then I turn them into pictures. He was crazy haha

Dragon Ball

I watched a double feature today at Tinseltown consisting of Dragon Ball and 17 Again. Conclusion: Dragon Ball, entertaining but overall stupid. 17 again: Zac Efron has really white teeth and Mathew Perry gets no recognition for being in it.

Also, Desperate Housewives was a filler today. I was very disappointed because the last new episode was a month ago.

This is my Sunday. Movies and TV. A nice break from my hectic schedule:)

I graduate in 20 days... That's weird. I applied for graduate school on Friday. I applied to do English Traditional Studies. I know some of you are grad students, is it hard??

aye chihuahua

So today was Easter.
I went to Church.. to see the part of my family I only see once a year (on Easter).. then to my Boyfriend's family's.. then to my parents where we watched Beverly Hill's Chihuahua which was awesome.. Do you think my dog has what it takes?

Also, after much thought I think I am going to go back to school in the fall and get my masters in English.. My bachelor's is in Advertising but I do not think I want to continue going to school for advertising. I would like to teach highschool english 1 but we will see.

i love it when we are cruising together

So I am going to the Bahamas in a month on a cruise. Then I come back and go to Disney World or Universal Studios.. not sure which one. I am pumped. Best graduation present ever, well besides a mini of course (in my dreams).

Also, I found this website the other day: http://www.thedailyweird.com/. Its really funny. I am not doing so well when it comes to keeping up with this weekly blog.

So I watched Risky Business earlier. Tom Cruise is awesome.

why so serious

So as you guys can see this is my blog from my literature class but it shall continue to live... Like Frankenstein but not really:)

So I am about to start playing Resident Evil 5. I will probably get no sleep because of it because I am a gamer. That's right.. I am an addict.. I have a problem! That's the first step right?

I am not sure what the second step is unless it is to turn on my 360?

Anyways, I look forward to reading everyone's post this next 8 weeks and probably longer.

Happy spring break!

The L Word

Last episode next Sunday at 8:00... I'm so pumped.

anyways, Mrs. Dalloway was really good. It is my least favorite of the other two novels though. I think many people can relate to Clarissa because she is so uncertain about some decisions has made in her life. It is sad though that it took the death a friend for her to realize that she needed to start living hers because it was the only one she has.

So I don't know how much longer I will keep writing in this when the class ends.. I did really enjoy this class and I wish I would have taken more literature classes... I wish that I could have gotten into the blog class in March:(..

and the oscar goes to...

I'm pretty sure the Oscars should have been canceled... The Dark Knight has won like every award so far anyways. Okay, well not really, Slumdog Millionaire and Benjamin Button have won a good amount of awards so far. I hope Slumdog wins movie of the year.. but we all know that won't happen:)....

I have been a little behind in my posts this week so I have only posted about one of the poems. Although, "When You Are Old" was my favorite poem this week because I like the imagery. I picture an elderly woman by the fire who is "old and gray and full of sleep". She is sleeping and dreaming of her past when she was in love.

Well, I am about to start Mrs. Dalloway... then go back and finish last weeks posts.. then begin this weeks... :)

Pip

I can't believe this class is so close to being over. I feel like a pro at online courses now even though this is the only one I have ever taken. It was very overwhelming at first that's for sure.

So this week I read Great Expectations... I really really enjoyed it. It was so different than Frankenstein.. There was so much going on and it had so so many characters. I do enjoy the Victorian Period literature.. but I think that the Romantic period is my favorite.. makes me want to watch the Dead Poet Society.

Goblin Market was my second favorite thing to read this week. I found it interesting all the meanings it could have. I wonder if it was suppose to be so sexual or if she really just wrote it that way not thinking about it.

Also.. Check out Southpark's take on Great Expectations: http://www.journeyed.com/itemDetail.asp?ItmNo=44021031

11:44

One of my favorite days during the week has to be Sunday. It is the day I can binge on showtime television.. US of Tara, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, The L World... oh and Desperate Housewives.. I never watch tv except for today.. well and to watch Lost of course.

I am about to start Great Expectations in about five minutes.. I have no idea what it is even about so this will be exciting. I really like the poems this week. My favorite this week was "Say Over Again" because I thought the symbolism for saying 'i love you' was interesting. Also, I like how almost everyone had a different interpretation.

perfume

Perfume is perhaps one of the weirdest movies ever... So this guy goes around killing woman and trying to make them into perfume.. then he gets caught and right before he is about to get hung everyone smells his perfume and has a huge orgy... riiighhhtttt?

I hate to admit this.. but this was the first time I have read Frankenstein and I have never seen any of the movies. I am a Frankenstein retard hahahaha. The book is a lot different than I thought it would be. I thought it was just about some dude that made a monster named Frankenstein that looked an awful lot like Herman Munster:)... Instead it has all these hidden themes that can be compared with current events. Someone compared Frankenstein to stem cell research on the discussion boards and I think that is an excellent example to what Shelley was trying to say.

Anyways... How did everyone do on their first paper? I am a little nervous because I haven't written an opionion paper since English 1! I can write a research paper like nobody's business though...

frankensleepy

It's the end of the second week of class and the start of my second blog. I am such a bad blogger that I forgot my password already and it took me awhile to figure it out. This class is going well so far, I am a little worried about the group project but I'm sure things will go smoothly. I'm excited to start Frankenstein. I have never actually seen the movie so I'm going to wait until I finish the book to watch it. My favorite poem so far was 'When We Two Parted'. I like that it was short and easy to read.. haha. I also really enjoyed reading how other people interpreted it.

sunday

Well, Im not going to lie.. I am not a blogger or a writer, I am a myspace commenter:)
But I shall try my best..

I am also not a very big poetry reader, or a very big reader but I decided that this class would be fun... I did however try to read Twilight, I read 70 pages but haven't picked it up since last week. I needed some electives and I remembered how much I enjoyed literature in high school so I got super excited when I saw this class. I also signed up for Cyberpunk film and literature in March. Not going to lie.. Not real sure what that means but I am very excited! :p

So far the reading for this class has been good. I have a new love for William Blake. I really like this online stuff because I can read other people's interpretations and blogs.
